The act of abstaining from using, buying or dealing with as a means of protest, when done by a female. Usually, but not exclusively done around "women's" issues.

Girlcott

The opposite of a boycott; where rather than avoiding or excluding someone, it involves actively engaging with them (often in a compelling or coercive manner) with the intent of ensuring they become more like you. This approach could be used as a form of punishment or for other strategic purposes.

girl-cott

A female euphemism to the word boycott. It means to abstain from or act together in abstaining from using, buying, or dealing with as an expression of protest or disfavor or as a means of coercion.

Although if the women organizations that used this term had any sense, they'd realize that 1) they're being just as sexist by using such wording and 2) the word boycott was coined after people protested Englishman Charles C. Boycott, and has nothing to do with gender relations.
The Women & Girls Foundation decided to "girl-cott" the company after they found their products to be offensive towards women.
