YOU CAN NEVER FIGHT A GHOST

Ghost: something is over and done with; a past that can't be changed; the invisible enemy or something that you can't get a grasp or see; something more spiritual than physical.

YOU CAN NEVER FIGHT A GHOST means:
1.If something is over and done with, you can't keep on fighting it, because it is over. If someone has died, it would be futile for their loved ones to try to keep them alive (which is obviously impossible).
2. You can't fight or overcome an invisible enemy or something that you can't get a grasp on (because ghosts are transparent).
3.You can never fight something that you can't see. Marry a Widow...you'll find that her late husband was a saint...no matter what she said while he was alive.
4.You can't change the past.
5.You cannot fight against someone or something that is more spiritual than physical...for example, you can't defeat a martyr
6. You can't change the past, what mistakes were made, etc just learn from them and try not to make the same ones again
It's over, man. You can never fight a ghost!

Fight a spooky ghost

Used to describe when someone masturbates and ejaculates all over the place. The term comes from Randy Marsh from South Park when he used that term as an excuse to why there was cum all over the place after jacking off to internet porn.
Peter Dutton just lost his seat and the federal election in a landslide. I'm off to fight a spooky ghost with Ali France.

ghostlighting

A hybrid of ghosting and gaslighting. Ceasing all communication with someone and then, when they attempt to contact you, pretending like you have no idea who they are or what they are talking about.
John: "Guys, did you hear what Christina did?"
Catherine: "No, what?"
John: "She was too chicken sh*t to quit her job, so she just didn't show up and then when her boss, Will, called her, she acted like she didn't know who he was!"
Catherine: "Oh, wow, she's totally ghostlighting that dude, eh?"

Ghostlighting

(verb) The act of pretending you are not ghosting someone by continuing to engage in superficial or superficial communication, such as liking their social media posts or sending them occasional messages, without actually committing to any real interaction or communication.

Note: Ghostlighting is often used as a way to avoid confrontation or to mislead someone into thinking that a relationship or connection is still active, when in reality the person is being ghosted. It is generally considered to be a dishonest and manipulative behavior.
I thought we were still friends, but then I realized she was just ghostlighting me by liking all my Instagram photos and sending me the occasional text message."
