Gadgetbating 

1.The use of technology (such as iPhones, Laptops, etc...) and internet based social media (such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Tumblr, etc...) during a time that makes the use of said technology and applications/social media inappropriate (Such as while at work or attending classes).

2. The act of an individual or group of persons who seem to have an active draw to technology while lacking social structure. (Getting incredibly excited over new technology and ignoring interpersonal relationships)
1. When posting a status on Facebook during class, a fellow student or teacher reserves the right to ask you to stop Gadgetbating.

When using an iPhone whilst at work and not performing your duties you may be fired on grounds of Gadgetbating.

2. When yearning for a new item such as the latest iPhone your friends or partner may ask you to resist drooling on the display model and stop Gadgetbating.
