Fish Story – Noun – Name often given to a exaggerating fisherman (redundant) who always amplifies and embellishes about their fishing adventures and catches.

Fish Story was telling me about all the Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod and Wahoo he caught, He is such an exaggerating liar.

A story told in order to cast the teller in a favourable light. Exaggeration is a key part of this.

Tom, "I caught this fish on Saturday, must have been like 40 pounds"

Jason, "that sounds like such a fish story dude, it was totally a minot"

Jason "I was with these 5 hot chicks and they were totally into me...bla bla bla"

Tommy, "fish story dude, u were totally pissed and swore at 3 fat girls, and then you got thrown out of the club".

When somebody brags about catching a huge record breaking trophy fish, and then throwing it back into the sea. You just have to believe them. From the Obama Administration's claim that they got Osama, and then they buried him at sea so he will never be seen again. You just have to believe them.

John bragged that he caught a record breaking marlin that was so huge that it HAD to have been a record breaker, however, he released it back into the sea. You just had to have been there. WHAT AN OSAMA FISH STORY!!!!
