Fauxsome

Regarding one's own behavior or oneself as "awesome" when in fact the behavior is misguided, or embarrassing, or one is really living a thinly-veiled life of mediocrity and fear.

The hipster was convinced that he was completely awesome, but those around him knew he was fauxsome, with no real ideas or action to back him up.

False condolences; condolences offered by one swept away by others offering condolences without truly knowing the tragedy; condolences offered in ridicule.

"My condolences on the loss of your cupcake"
"Shut up with your fauxdolences, you ate it!"

"Fauxdolences on your loss of the Peterman account. I understand you fell asleep during the meeting?"
"Yeah, I was up all night Kirlinbooking."
"Tough break, now I get a go at it."

A person that acts like an asshole when around certain people but is really too nice to be one. A "fake asshole."

In front of people he doesn't know, Bob acts like an asshole but he's really just a fauxhole when it's just the two of us.

When something is deemed terribly and irrefutably wrong or unbecoming.

Rog bragged to everyone about how he was going to jump out of the plane, but he pissed his pants and chickened out at the last minute. He was so fauxsome.
