When you pretends to have interest in something a newly made acquaintance keeps talking about, even though you are not interested in the topic at all, because they seem like a nice enough person.

Aldo: Yeah, last week my dad called me to congratulate me on my urban farm award.
James: Oh wow, that's super interesting.
Aldo: Hey you're not being fabronious are you?
