Em is a girls name. The only reason parents would call a girl Em would be if they could see into the future and knew she was going to turn out to be the best of the best. All people called Em are the most beautiful, pretty, hot, sexy, intelligent, cute and good looking people around. Girls named this are often a little nerdy but most of the time its a cool form of nerdy. These girls often dont like being called Emily because Emily is a rather common name and they strive to be unique. Girls called Em often dont like clingyness and being relied upon. If you are ever loved by a girl called Em, be thankful, she might not be around you for much long. Girls named Em are very complimented and you often wont understand their ways... Somehow Ems have an ability to make you love them more than life itself, they'll make you want to do anything for them!
Biko: Damn look at that girl! That must be Em, right?

pron. Contraction of them.
1. Those people or things (plural).
2. That person (singular). Usage as a singular pronoun is similar to the use of the word they as a singular pronoun; used as a reference to a person where sex (male or female) is unspecified or has not been determined. Used in this way because english doesn't have a singular form nonsexual pronoun.
That person sucked, so I took 'em out of the game.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
