Thank you. Without Oda we would not have Luffy, Zoro, Saji, Nami, Chopper, Usopp, Robin, Franky, Brook, or any of the other characters included in this amazing story.

His debut series 'One Piece' has sold over 340 million copies in Japan. The universe of One Piece is incredibly vast with tons of nuance and foreshadowing. To think that this man only gets one week to publish an episode (Yes, that's pretty fucking tough to do) he could very well be considered incredibly intelligent or even genius. Oda is currently a millionaire and no longer needs to work but has mentioned in his interviews that his biggest passion and hope for life is to finish One Piece before he dies.
Unlike what many people think, he has zero affiliation with Shūeisha who make the anime version of One Piece. Oda still gets profit from it of course but he is not involved in the actual making of the animation.
