Dutchie Brothers

Underground crew formed in the Bronx in the early 1980's (circa. 1981)specializing in promoting peaceful parties thoughout the Bronx for the purpose of brotherhood amongst, and the uplifting of, the hip-hop generation. Heavy emphasis on Weed. Credo "Come in peace or leave deceased". Sponsored "Inter-Racial" get high between beer drinking white boys and weed smokin' Ricans after racial tension boiled over at area high school. Sponsored annual Christmas Parties, girls got in free, guys get in with a tray or nickel bag of weed, or beer-school ID required. A real comraderie developed as a result of these parties. These were the pre-crack days mind you so it was all harmless fun.
Yo, the Dutchie Brothers are throwing a Zoo-Bang. DJ Scorpio & Magic throwing a jam at Poe Park.

Pass the Dutchie

Cover of 'Pass the kutchie", by the Mighty Diamonds, sung by Musical Youth ('82). A "Dutchie" does not refer to ganja; it is a cast iron cooking pot (Dutch oven) used in "the dreadlock's camp". A kutchie IS however a hotpipe for smoke. This song it NOT Bob Marley's (jah bless)!
"Pass the dutchie 'pon de left 'and side...how does it feel when ya got no food?" Bless up!

Dutchess Community College

An excellent 2-year college for people who want to pay ridiculously low tuition for the same (or better) education that they'd get at any 4-year school.

With a relaxed atmosphere, chill people, and excellent teachers, it's a perfect stepping stone for people coming out of high school who are either undecided about what they want to do, unwilling to pay for a 4-year school, or just not ready to leave home. Respect it.
Man I totally underestimated Dutchess Community College. Now I'm glad I went to such a damn good college for so cheap.
