dollarcide

A term coined among some internet forums, dslreports.com being a prime example. It means that a member has decided to discontinue being active on their account and no longer wishes to participate on the boards. The terminology was devised because a dollar sign would be placed after the username when they did dollarcide. Username fartness was suddenly changed to fartness$.
User1: I wonder where user3 has been lately?
User2: You didn't hear? He ended up a dollarcide.
User1: That's unfortunate.
