The important. The ***ELITE***. On internet message boards, a certain creme de la creme is defined by the member number. 1000 is a wonderful number, and yet, is the first of the worthless.

Even more important, of course, are the PRIME examples, like 877. That defines the Upper Elite Tier.

Oh, Pickles is a 3-digiter? His opinion is worth more.

1. People who consider themselves the literati of the digital age.
2. Arty geeks, as distinct from technorati or tech-head geeks like script kiddies.

Singular form: digiterat. Cf. technorat.

Joe's one of the technorati - he dreams about scripts to bulk change Unix permissions. But the digiterati are people like Mary. She's so cool she uses her iPhone to photograph a politician giving a speech, downloads and runs an app to morph it into a damaging caricature, and uploads it to Wikileaks before he's finished talking - all while tweeting about it and drinking a chai latte.

Digiterrorist 

1. A person who is problematic on purpose while posing as a person in a certain group//community/fandom to make them look bad.
2. Somebody who’s main goal on social media is to “ragebait”, and to be problematic
