A term used by vehement Marcos supporters to refer to ultra-supporters of the Philippine political party known as the Liberal Party. It originates from the party'
s flagship colour being
yellow, which in Filipino is "dilaw". Often it
will be seen used as an accusatory label when someone speaks negatively of the Marcoses.
People and groups associated with the term include the Aquino family (of whom two became president and
one died by an assassination ordered by Ferdinand Marcos Sr.), human rights lawyers, ABS-CBN, and anyone critical of the Marcos family for any reason (no, this is not an overstatement).
Person A: Diba nga madaming namatay noong Martial Law pa tayo? Ang daming na-
rape, na-
torture, nawala-
Person B: Ayan ang sinasabi ng mga dilawan, brainwashed ka
ba? NPA ka no??
