Christmas and New Year's

Christmas and New Year's Eve are two of the largest items on anyone's social itinerary in a year. Usually they involve much family contact, drinking and general merriment. When combined however, they make reference to the fact you went and had the best time (usually night) of your life.
Dude1: "Hey how was your party at college?"

Dude2: "It was great mate, I gave them Christmas and New Year's!"
