A slang term referring English as tonal language (read: the language where the tone and the intonation influence the meaning of a sentence), e.g. "You want to eat." v.s. "You want to eat?"
I never realized English could be like a Chinese language until I heard someone ask, 'You want to eat?' with such different tones—turns out it totally changes the meaning!
churchhurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the churchhurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
