It's Cool We Can still be friends

One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Ever, truely.
Written by conor oberst, of bright eyes.
"And you say that I hurt you, in a voice like a prayer
Yeah, you say that I've hurt you, and your voice is like a prayer. Yeah, well maybe I hurt you sometimes, let's contrast and compare...lift up your shirt, the wound isn't there. I guess that your truth, is just the ghost of your lies...
...Yeah, your kind of truth, darling, is just the ghost of your lies, & I see through them all the time...
...I'm pouring some whiskey right now, I'm going to get so, so drunk, that I pass out, & forget your face, by the time I wake up..."

Kid 1: "Have you heard that beautiful song by Conor Oberst"
Kid 2: "But there are so many!"
Kid 1: "One of the most beautiful"
Kid 2: "Oooh, It's Cool We Can still be friends!"

Can we be friends

The only sentence that can rip you, tear you, and kill you.
“Do you want to date? Can we be friends instead?”

We can still be friends

Something that two people in a relationship say after they break up.

This rarely even happens, saying it is just a formality. Sorry.
Jeremy: I'm sorry, but it's not working out anymore. We can still be friends tho.
Madeline: Yeah, sure, I'd love that.

*avoids the other while walking in the corridors for 3 more eternities*

We can still be friends

5 five words that are impossible to accomplish. Just a nice way of saying: “your clingy so we can still talk once a year”
Guy: “Hey this isn’t working, but we can still be friends”
Girl: “yeah that’d be great”
*guy to self: not gonna he friends*
*girl to self: friends? Seriously? How dumb does he think I am?*

We can still be friends

Something one says when dumping their partner, but this is unlikely to happen unless the couple has kids or owns a business together.
My ex: Everything can be like before. We can still be friends. I don't want to lose you altogether.

Me: Nah fuck you, I don't keep friendships after relationships. I'm not that forgiving, sorry....

We can't be friends

And I won't ever have a relationship. But what these people are trying to turn that into is an overt form of of second class citizenry.
Hym "No we can't be friends. In the words of Arianna Grande "We can't be friends." Because the only reason were are lovers is the lack of a fat cock."

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.

Pee Calculus

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing pee calculus.
