To invite-and-insult your guest. To go Bollinger or pull a Bollinger is to do what Columbia President Lee Bollinger did when introducing Iranian President Ahmedinejad. Bollinger shed any trace scholarly integrity and went on an emotional tirade, denouncing the democratically elected Ahmedinejad as a "petty and cruel dictator."
With all due respect, Mr. President, I can handle my own introduction if you plan to go Bollinger on me.

From malingering -- to evade duty or work by pretending to be incapacitated -- it means to drink so much champagne (Bollinger) at lunch that you are actually incapacitated for the rest of the day.

When someone is invited to speak at a public forum, and is then insulted and denounced by the person introducing them before they speak. Eponymously originated with vigor by Lee C. Bollinger, President of Columbia University when introducing the president of Iraq - Mohmoud Ahmadinejad.
"I was all set with my notes for the lecture and then got flustered when I was Bollingered in the introduction..."
