Billsin’

The Buffalo Bills are an American football team in the National Football League. They have a long history of many losing seasons and fewer winning seasons that have always ended in tragic failure. They lost four straight Super Bowl championships in the ’90s, the first of which was narrowly lost on a last-minute field goal attempt that flew wide right by less than a yard. In the era that followed, the team found excruciating ways to miss the playoffs for 17 straight seasons. In recent years, the team has enjoyed success and national prominence, yet has continued to find ways to lose at critical moments of important games in their bid for their first NFL championship.

Due to the self-inflicted nature of many of the Bills’ worst losses, locals will sarcastically say the team is “Billsin’” whenever a terrible play (or series of plays) turn the game in the opposing team’s favor.
“Another false-start penalty on 1st and goal?? Here we go again. Billsin’!”

“Missing the playoffs by losing a game to the other team’s backups?? Billsin’.”

“Interception on the first play of a potential 4th quarter comeback drive? Billsin’.”

Top Billin'

The South-West's biggest hip-hop night, apparently (it wins by default, being the only competitor). For those who feel they need some edification on how much a series of strangers don't care for the opinion of people who might criticise them, or some vague philosophy from the aforementioned, with reference to mostly-imagined hardships in their past, it's a fun night out.

Manages to snare many students once, sometimes even twice, before they realise that paying £5 to stand in an empty room whilst a bunch of kidults in oversized clothing 'spit' about the difficulties of growing up on the English riviera is simply not fun.

Most events take place in the bus-stop-cafeteria-that-thinks-its-a-nightclub (White Rabbit), where visitors can enviously watch crowds of people leaving the bus-stop they feel obliged, having paid, to spend some time in.
"Did you go to that Top Billin' night?"
"Yeah."
"What was it like?"
"Shit."

"Want to come to Top' Billin' with me tonight?"
"No."

"Boom! Come Top' Billin', this shit is fire famalam!"
"Talk properly, you sound like an idiot."

Keep billin'

Used as a term of encouragement for any situation. Two Texans and some Brits were at a cricket game in Barbados and misheard a local cheer, and that's the day keep billin' was born. The locals then joined in with the billin' as well.
Cricketer hits a 6: Keep billin'! Keep Billin'
Co-worker gets a promotion: Keep billin', Frank! Keep billin'!
Literally, anything positive happens: Keep billin'!!

South Yorkshire term meaning a reckless, hyperactive scally/chav whose behaviour has become too excessive even for regular scallies to deal with. Usually restricted to one per gang, the billson is often seen clambering over street furniture in an attempt to escape his mates that he has just stolen from. This is usually tolerated by the rest of the gang as the billson is something of a super-scally and a useful tool in 'out-scallying' rival gangs.

As with most scallies, billsons emit nasal whining noises rather than regular speech. Billsons, however, tend to be much louder and rowdier than their peers, giving you ample advance warning should you encounter one on the street.

In addition to accepted scally behaviour, billsons appear to specialise in the following:

1) Climbing
2) Throwing things
3) Picking up dog turds with the end of a stick.
4) Running at mates and hanging from their necks, therefore dragging said 'mate' down onto the ground.
5) Being encouraged by his mates into doing something disgusting or dangerous for their amusement e.g. urinating on railway power lines.
Scally: "Eeeyaah billson, give us back me fags, yer fuckin' dick'ead"

Billson: "Eee-aaa-eeee-yaaahhh!"
