bibleslam

When a politician or celebrity uses quotes from the Bible to gain credibility and/or publicity. The word comes from a combination of the Bible and from a bastardization of "poetry slam." A poetry slam is a competition where "poets" drop random prose or bullshit in the guise of artistry to impress laymen and seem sophisticated. Politicians and celebrites are especially prone to the tendency to bullshit and therefore quote the Bible.
Joe: Dude did you see the presidential debate last night?!
Joey: Nope.
Joe: Aw, then you missed Mitt Romney bibleslam the shit out of Obama!
Joey. Now I am really upset that I missed that debate. Wait...What?

Biblesplaining

Biblesplaining: making excuses for things that don't makes sense in the Bible, or validating The Bible by adding one's own personal explanations- for the purpose of denying one's own doubt, or to persuade someone else to believe the fantasy.
Jake: "A burning bush did not talk to Moses, that is a bunch of horse shit!"

Tyler: "It is true. God controlled the crackling of the wood as it burned to form a human voice to speak to Moses."

Jake: "Just stop Biblesplaining bro."

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
