Batgirled 

A term for when a project that's close to being finished gets cancelled/development shut down out of nowhere despite all the signs of near completion, and at the cost of the employees working on it.

Named after the cancelled Batgirl movie Warner Bros. cancelled despite being filmed, fully written, tested and near completion.

"Dude, did you hear about that game that just got cancelled?"
"After all those trailers and closed betas? It didn't just get canned, it got Batgirled!"

Batgirl 

Batgirl is a DC Comics superhero, a female crime-fighter modeled after and associated with Batman.

Although a mostly-forgotten Bat-Girl appeared in Batman comic books of the early 1960s, the most well-known Batgirl was a collaboration between DC editors and the producers of the Batman television series and debuted in both mediums in 1967. She was Barbara Gordon, the adopted daughter of Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon.

She can stay under the radar in meetings but pops up with epic amounts of relevant information, materials and support when called upon.
