Bar mom 

Similar to a soccer mom, a bar mom is a white middle or upper-middle class woman in her mid-40's to mid-60's who sees her adult children only in bars. During free time she is found at the bar drinking, playing pool, playing darts, or playing poker. A bar mom is the equivalent of a bar rat, but with children.

Did you see Vanessa at the bar Tuesday night?
Yeah she is such a bar mom.

when you are riding in the front seat of you're moms car and she has to hit the brakes or do some crazy manuver to avoid something, then she stretches her arm across your chest holding you in your seat as if she was going to save your life.

Mommy Bar

n. That Infuriating handle above the door that is widely believed to provide stability and security in a moving vehicle. Generally used by mothers in the passenger seat who are convinced that they gave birth to their deaths in vehicular manslaughter form. Regardless of how skilled a driver you are, your mother will always make it seem like you just took a screeching U-turn at 45mph.

He looked over and saw her clutching the mommy bar and decided to give her a reason to. The news that night: man causes 15 car pile-up, comes out of the wreckage screeching curses about a "mommy bar" of some sort.
