people featured are seiyuus and not the idols themselves and assumed the idols name were the seiyuu's, thus ranting and calling the LoveLive! fanbase "pedos" and "lolicons" in the comments. In addition, some pjsekai fans started criticizing Furirin's voice without knowing that she's a pjsekai seiyuu too LOL.
The song itself skyrocketed through the Spotify charts, and got LoveLive! mainstream in the Western Internet again, after the 2018-
2019 wave.
That particular part itself became the next TikTok.brainrot, spawning a multitude of remixes among diverse fandoms.
