A Not Always Right customer is one that is 1. Trying to get something for nothing; 2. Abusing the employee for one reason or another (trying to get their own way, or for the fun of it); 3. Doesn’t realize they’re wrong

1. A policy mainly enforced in the retail industry in terms of having respect for the customer, saying that their opinion matters and that they are always correct.

2. An instance of an employee agreeing with a customer.

1.The customer is always right about our merchandise.

2. Even if the customer is wrong, we basically have to kiss their ass with the "customer is always right" policy--even though the customer was wrong (and an idiot)

The customer is always right

A maxim in the retail industry wherein a customer is first priority. The sentence is a logical fallacy because it never assumes that a customer can lie, (They do. A lot.) have unrealistic expectations, (They do. A lot.) make ridiculous demands, (They do. A lot.) or even flat-out abuse the staff member in question just because. (They... Well, you get the idea.) As a result, this mindset has led to many, many, MANY instances of customers acting like entitled jackasses because they think it will get them what they want.

"The customer is always right?" More like, "The customer is usually a moron and an asshole."
