Afos 

Pronounced "Ah-fawz". A cajun term meaning "because" or "as a result of." Mainly used by older cajun people in casual conversation. When requiring more emphasis (usually during gossip), the word may be pronounced "Arah-fawz," however it is always spelled the same.

An African name, originated in Nigeria. Very common in Africa but rarely see in the US. Often pronounced by americans as "Afofo" or "Ophyso". The correct pronunciation is "Office-oh". A Flock of Seagulls is an English new wave band formed in Liverpool in 1979. The group, whose best-known line-up comprised Mike Score, Ali Score, Frank Maudsley, and Paul Reynolds, hit the peak of their chart success in the early 1980s.

I listen to my favorite AFOSG song called "Wishing" and gave me chills.
