1. The END of The LINE
2. A city in the Hi-desert where the largest MCAGCC (Marine Corp Air Ground Combat Center), aka: BASE is located on the north side. And, the Joshua Tree National Park borders on the south side.
3. Temperatures range from bone chilling and dry 30° F in winter, to heat stroke hot 120° in summer, which is tolerable as long as there's no humidity.
4. A city that is more like a town with no personality. Population is approximately 35,000 now (including Base residents). Approx. 15,000 civilians: In 1988, the pop. was only 1,200 civilians.
5. Has 1 full service grocery store, Stater Bros, and lots of liquor stores, tattoo shops, barbershops, fast food and small businesses, not much entertainment, but there's actually a fucking casino out here.
6. Very Spooky at night; the whole town is ghostly haunted, and some believe there's aliens living in the mountains nearby bcuz of unexplained hovering objects, lights, sounds and actions witnessed late at night.
7. There's a lot of wild life, rocks & gems, cactus, palm trees and sand Everywhere. It's so peaceful quiet most times, a far from L.A.s loud madness. The dust here is golden brown. The dust in L.A. is greasy black.
8. It's the kind of place you will love and hate equally. It's so boring that doing yardwork is a welcome form of entertainment.
9. Houses and land lots are very affordable. But like Tijuana, DON'T DRINK THE WATER!! And beware of the people trolling the streets.
