middle distance

The most G type of running there is. ranging from events from typically 600 meters to 1600 meters. These hardass people have to hold an almost sprint for a sustained amount of time with an explosive burst of energy in the end. These runners have to combine mileage with alot of speed work in order to stay boss.

Ay yo what you tryin to run this year?

Man I aint tryin to run that long distance; i'm tryin to use my speed work and make this 800 meter my bitch.

I gotcha, i'm gonna be on that middle distance too.

Middle Child Syndrome

A disposition that generally arises with the middle child of three children in a household. Middle children often lack the attention that the oldest (the most important child) and the youngest (the parent's favorite child) receive.

Middle child syndrome is often characterized by: lack of friends (a loner), inability to maintain relationships, extreme creativity (writing, music, art, etc.), an easy going personality, trouble choosing a career path, trouble maintaining a career, quick loss of interest in things, negative outlook on life, half-assing, and indecisiveness. Famous middle children include David Letterman, Madonna, and Richard Nixon. Need I say more?

I am a middle child. I suffer from middle child syndrome. Therefore I am creative in writing this, but also extremely middle child-esque for writing this melancholy piece.

Middle School

A place where you come in thinking, great! I'm going to make so many new friends! You will see those 7th graders who at one point went to your school. They went from normal people to eye liner wearer , fake wannabe, fakes... Soon you will have realized middle school is all about boys asking girls out and the queer drama that happens all because "You wouldnt shop with Sally at abercrombie."

All the girls wear abercrombie and they boys try to look "cool" with their very special Hollister t-shirt everyone else is wearing. There are the stupid populars, nerds,posers,emos, and the OK KIDS. Hopefully you will be part of the OK kids. You get average grades, you couldnt care less about popularity, and you sill like the same music. You normal and love watching the populars becoming sluts.

Middle School sucked.

middle truth

A statement or affirmation whereby certain related factual content is manipulated and used to support a fallacious position. An example may be a situation in which someone receives a fair use ruling around the rights to intellectual property, and then uses that permission to then produce merchandise based on the IP, whilst informing customers that he has procured the rights to the IP.

Comparison to "half truth" -
At first glance, middle truth may seem a direct replacement for its related term, half truth. Popular usage, however, seems to indicate a preference for middle truth when using the term to defend past actions. The term half truth implies that the statement is half truth and half "something else", perhaps untruth, whereas middle truth seeks to position the argument on a spectrum made up entirely of truth, but of varying degrees. Therefore a middle truth is being positioned as a truth in the first place, but perhaps one of substandard quality, or even malformed in some way, but in no way polluted by actual lies. This positioning also seeks to identify the deliverer of the middle truth as misinformed or even incompetent at worst, as opposed to malicious or carrying any intent to harm.

Comparison to "bullshit" -
A closer term may be "bullshit". In the 1980 film The Blues Brothers, Elwood Blues, being accused by his brother of lying to him states, "I didn't lie to you. I just...bullshitted you." and clearly positions himself as "bullshitting" because he cared.
