idiot plot 

In literary criticism, idiot plot refers to "a plot which is kept in motion solely by virtue of the fact that everybody involved is an idiot,"otherwise "they'd immediately figure out everything and the movie would be over."It is a narrative where its conflict comes from characters not recognizing, or not being told, key information that would resolve the conflict, often because of plot contrivance. The only thing that prevents the conflict's resolution is the character's constant avoidance or obliviousness of it throughout the plot, even if it was already obvious to the viewer, so the characters are all "idiots" in that they are too obtuse to simply resolve the conflict immediately.

Idiot Explorer 

A disparaging term for Internet Explorer, especially given its higher propensity towards a slow computer/webpage experience, increased chances of malware or even toolbar infestations, and even in some cases, a bad layout since there are certain web designers that stopped bothering to design for IE compatibility. Thus, anybody who willingly uses IE despite MUCH better alternatives being installed on the computer is an idiot, hence "Idiot Explorer".

Gus (calling): Hey, I was trying to open this website and it keeps freezing, and there's 5 toolbars and every site I opened seems to have a popup. What's going on?
Me: Gus, for Pete's sake... How many times have I told you to stop using Idiot Explorer?

Idiot Son 

The son of an accomplished man (usually wealthy) who can't replicate his father's success, usually because he had everything handed to him on a silver platter as a kid and/or wasn't blessed with his father's abilities (frequently because his father married a trophy wife, thereby who diluting those abilities).

James is an idiot son. He'll never be able to take over his father's business.
