Yes, it is a one-stoplight town, but you can walk everywhere, there's no traffc, and the environment is positively beautiful. It's the home to Gardner-Webb University, a small Christian college. While there aren't any movie theatres or shopping malls in the town itself, it's a very short drive to the outlet mall in Gaffney and there are movie theatres that take less than 20 minutes to get to. I think it's a wonderful place.
I have been going to visit family in Boiling Springs almost every summer since I was 5 years old, and I think it's a beautiful and relaxing escape from my busy hometown.
