Due to scheduling conflicts and belated responses, when gifts continue to be given in recognition of ones birthday over a lengthy period of time, sometimes as much as a month or more. A really great occurrence that stretches ones birthday perks out indefinitely.
Mike: hey, why did the boss buy your lunch today?
Sue: For my birthday.
Mike: I thought your birthday was last week?
Sue: it was, but it's my birthday month.

Get the Throw short people month mug.The best month of the year when all of the great Black activists, athletes, inventors, scientists, scholars, musicians, poets, authors, architects, explorers, etc throughout history get the most recognition for their achievements. Africans have richest history in the world, as they are the ones who brought Mathematics, Science, Language, Architecture, Cosmetics, Art, Spirituality, Folklore, and so many other things to the world. And as for Black Americans, we are the ones who built America, and not just through free labor via slavery. It's so important for people to learn about historical figures such as Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Malcolm X, Lewis Latimer (inventor of the carbon filament used in light bulbs), Benjamin Banneker (scientist, Almanac author, and farmer who built the first American clock and assisted in creating the city layout for Washington D.C.), Juan Garrido (first person in the Americas to cultivate Wheat), Garrett Morgan (inventor of the Traffic Light and the Gas Mask), W.E.B. DuBois (Pan Africanist civil rights activist who co-founded the NAACP), Kenneth Dunkley (inventor of 3D Glasses), George Crum (inventor of Potato Chips), and so many other monumental figures! Coincidentally, this month corresponds with many other events like National Heart Month, the Super Bowl, the NBA All Star Game, the Oscars, the Grammy's, and Valentine's Day.

Get the Moocher mug.A taker is any individual that is part of the 47% of Americans who pay zero federal income taxes...and then votes over and over for the party that is most likely to increase taxes (ie. take even more earned property) on the 53% who DO pay federal income taxes. These folks also do not have a hint of appreciation, or guilt in their hearts, rather they call you selfish if you don't agree to pay more, and give it to them. Of course this is all due to the King Enabler of Bad Behavior, the Federal Government...the gvmt is close to achieving their goal (48.5% of all Americans now receive some kind of federal assistance), to have as many people rely on the government as possible. This same entity is the primary reason for the suffering that is happening, all other blame is marginal, and is not the source...in fact, sometimes one may think the it's intentional.
Yeah, I know, sucks Billy is a real Moocher ("Taker"), it's sad...not sure if he realizes that his behavior is rather embarrassing and certainly not a tenant of any anything moral. Maybe some day he will contribute something to society, instead of being a net negative overall to society as he will most definitely take more money than he will ever contribute, all the while he continues blaming others for his bad behavior and his position in life.
Your right, what a selfish, lazy person, can we please not hang out w/ someone like that....I can no longer enable his bad behavior....his mindset is now destroying our country.

Black History Month is important not just for Black people to understand their own people's centuries-long struggle for liberation, but for all people to recognize the problems that institutionalized racism and skin color privilege has caused and continues to cause in American society.
