When a celebrity, usually a rapper, is shot in the ass in an attempt to jumpstart a lagging career or attract otherwise elusive media attention.

The term is a reference to former Naughty by Nature frontman Treach who in 2006 appeared on an episode of The Sopranos as an unknown rapper who paid Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri to shoot him in the ass in attempt to bring attention to himself.

Brooklyn M.C. Gravy was recentlyy Treached outside the Hot 97 Radio station.

Treadmill effect

When a blazed person walks outdoors and it appears that buildings are coming towards him/her rather than him/her walking towards the buildings. This gives the illusion that the earth is a huge treadmill and the person is not moving from where he/her is walking.

Person A - God damn! it seems like the movie theaters is coming towards me even tho I'm walking towards it.

Person B - It's the treadmill effect.
