Sprinking

A generic term describing some sort of weird, creepy, stupid, or just plain annoying action or saying of someone else. It is derived from the last name of an odd member of a high school debate team and, like many things in the debate community, is only used when other debaters are present. The best effect is achieved when said with a derisive tone. While the original meaning had a somewhat dirty connotation, the current interpretation applies to any action deemed unacceptable or gross.

Riggsy: "I will eat your children and sleep on their bones!!!"
Mr. Awesome: "Dude, quit sprinking!"

...

"Why is he eating paper?"
"It's ok, he's just sprinking."

Shining the Butler

To waste time lavishing attention (ostensibly in the form of sexual favors) onto a party who cannot provide you any form of significant reward or upward mobility, while the reigning and more influential members of the metaphorical household go unserviced.

Joey spent all day showing his project to the junior VP but I told him he's really just shining the butler, Jenkins the new CTO makes all the decisions around here!

Spinning Castles

Whenever someone comes up with ridiculous ideas that are particularly complex to solve simple problems or have no possible chance of happening. Often used in Software Development to indicate when someone is spewing a high degree of BS.

Bob is just Spinning Castles, his solution is 10 times more complicated than necessary. - OR - Benjamin is just Spinning Castles because there is no chance we are ever going to do that elaborate project!
