GENNYC

Acronym meaning GENtrified New York City. Describes NYC as it was since Mayor Giuliani's regime...er, reign as city mayor as the gentrification either began or was in progress and remains so with thanks to Mayor Bloomberg. One section in a particular borough is reported to be overrun with stroller nazis.

New York City has lost so much of it's uniqueness and flavor within the last decade or two of gentrification that we should start calling it GENNYC.

A Genaye is a loving, honest and compassionate person. Always putting others before herself and keeping it real! Her face expressions tells it all and she’ll put you in your place. She hates when people are intentionally mean and will call you out. Very private individual and doesn’t let too many people in. Pretty girl of course, skin always glowing! Genny

Genny has been through hard times and will cry at night when no one is around but the very next morning she’ll put a smile on her face. She always tells people she’s fine when she really isn’t. There might be some days when she doesn’t want to be alive anymore because she either lost someone she loves or it’s school work. She tries really hard at school but it’s to much for her especially when she has a lot of problems. But she’s a strong, loyal, caring, and beautiful girl you’ll ever meet. She’ll take your breath away. She’s been liking this boy for a very long time now and she’s afraid of losing him. She’s also afraid of losing her close friends. Genny is also a popular but not that popular like a lot of people know her and she knows them like she has millions of friends from different grades and schools but she only has 5-4 close friends. She hangs around with a lot of guys but this one boy caught her attention. Her friends tell her that he’s prolly a cheater and he’ll play with your heart but genny looks at him differently. She looks at him as a very funny and sweet. If you ever meet a genny keep her she’s one of a kind.

Gellyman

Origin: Valley Stream, NY

A sophisticated young man who enjoys physics. Frequently looks down at his watch during awkward moments and in times of hard ships. Can be found playing starcraft and often dropping the 'r-bomb'. For example:

"Do you refuse to stop talking?"

As well, a Gellyman can be seen creating strange faces at random times of the day.

Also known as a failure to being funny.

Often uses the pick-up line "Get to Work."
