Poser Skater

A person who thinks they can skateboard.
Usually has a penny board because that's Mainstream and Hipster right now.
Usually see them just carrying their board around.
They also have no Scratches on their board because they cant do shit and just show off their £150 army print 'New' Board... from www.pennyskateboardsonline.com.

Usually wear Beanies in the summer and Tie dyed tank tops with 'Hype' on them, or the really mainstream Thrasher T-Shirts in white with black writing.
Some of them also have Facebook profile pictures of them doing an Ollie off a curb, but you can only see the skateboard and their feet so you dont know who the fuck has done it.

Friend - "look at him, another skater"
Me - "Hipster Poser Skater..."
Friend - "How d'you know? He could be really good"
Me - "He is wearing a trasher hoodie, Janoski's and a Hype beanie in the summer "

Someone who sends in post cards to Post Secret about things that everyone already knows or who brags about their secret being picked.

Josh was a Post Secret poser and would send in post cards every week about the time he pissed his pants at prom. Like no one would figure that one out.

1. Any person who conforms to a fashion statement rather than an ideal or way of life. Most American universities, colleges and secondary schools keep a steady population of poseurs, usually in art classes and libraries. The poser is known to congregate in small groups, usually of their own ilk, or with real punkers or metalheads in an attempt to fit in. The telltale sign of a poseur is their lack of knowledge of music, art and the culture they are pretending to portray. As an example, the roots of the punk rock movement was based more on all out rebellion and an attitude going against the social status quo and morays. In contrast, the poseur holds none of these values, yet will pretend to.

"My advanced ceramics class is chock full of hipster poser fucks. All they do flip their scarves around and talk about going to shows and making out and doing their hair."

Someone who tries to fit in to a section or label. Basically, they go overboard with what they wear and yet know nothing. (aka surfer posers, skater posers, emo posers ,etc.) they also think that what they where is what those type of people where as well
