The wentelteefje is an imaginary creature which has a long, armored body with six legs, humanoid feet, a parrot-like beak and eyes on stalks. It first appeared in Escher's "Curl-up" and later appeared in "House of Stairs" and "House of Stairs II".

Look at all those wentelteefje crawling up the paradoxically angled stairs!
