Hitting 88

Consuming large-enough quantities of alcohol that one loses the ability to recall the events of the evening, and wakes up in the morning with no recollection, having 'time-travelled' the previous night. Commonly referred to as "blacking out".

A reference to Doc Brown's time-travelling machine from Back to the Future. The car that housed the flux-capacitor needed to travel exactly 88mph in order to travel through time.

Frank got a big bonus and was hitting 88 about an hour before he started dry-humping his check.

Mandy hit 88 somewhere in between dinner and the club, which probably explains why she doesn't remember fucking that guy in the bathroom.

Hastings College

A bubble of of liberalism in the hellscape of southern Nebraska. Located directly in the middle of a sea of corn this small school exhibits all off the things you don't look for in a college: a dead greek life and party scene, 'roided up ball players that somehow think they are all bound for the pros and manage to pull off losing records in NAIA every year, antisocial and ugly entitled females, and an overall lack of fun. The wonderful array of drugs that can be found on campus are a great way to imagine that you are somewhere else. Drinking away your boredom may also help you throw up the mystery slop that the cafeteria called "chimichangas."
