Eskimo Friday

in Nordic countries such as Russia, Scandinavia and Canada, the Friday before Christmas (i.e the Friday between December 18-24), especially one when its snowing like hell outside and you have maybe a foot or more of snow outside. On these Fridays, the temperature can drop to something like -20 to -25 degrees Celsius with no windchill factor.

According to family legend, my grandmother was born on an Eskimo Friday, a Friday, December 24.
