Gatsies

A safe area used during a game of Chasies / Tag in which a participant cannot be tagged. Also known as 'Den'.

Gatesies is thought to originate from early versions of the game played outside of school, were a defensive player would swing on a gate to remain safe from tagging.

Player 1: You're it

Player 2: You cannot tag me, sir, for I am in Gatsies.
