The bad idea that kills any thing that follows.

An unrealistic idea that kills a chain of good ideas.

Originated for the term "Nuking the Fridge" made popular by the movie "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and the unrealistic scene where the title character hide in a refrigerator to escape an atomic blast.

That was the atomic fridge for that series.

Nuke the fridge

Nuke the Fridge is from the newest indiana Jones film however it actually originates from back to the future, originally I'm the BTTF story the time machine was going to be a fridge on the back of a pickup that was powered by nuclear energy.

It seems the concept was borrowed for the Indiana Jones storyline.

Don't even get me started on the fact that the flux capacitor was actually clearly stolen from the buckaroo banzai car...
