Weigh-in

A term used normally for league fighting where fighters are weighed and get to beef or 'square up' to each other. Also used on the street in the same instance where a close to fighting dispute happened usually with the people arguing pushing and screaming in each others faces.

Friend1: Did you hear about that dave kid beefing tom?

Friend2: Yeahhh! i did mateee. Tom weighed him in but dave bottled it didnt he!? The patty.
Friend1: Don't blame him tbf Tom will Weigh-in any man.

Weightlifting

Weightlifting isn't a sport, it's like boxing in that sense. Even if there is strategy and technique involved, boxing is two guys (or girls) beating the shit out of each other, and weightlifting is people getting exercise. Any time you turn something like getting regular exercise into sport or a competitive activity, it begins to get silly.

Weightlifting isn't a sport, it's people getting a workout.

Weightlifting

Weightlifting, like bullfighting, or jumping tires on one of those horse heads on sticks, might be fun enough to some people that they try to make a sport or competition out of it, but that doesn't make calling it a sport any less silly.

Weightlifting might be something people one day do while riding a pony on an obstacle course, but that doesn't make calling it a sport any less of a silly idea, especially since the pony didn't sign itself up for it.

Refers to one of various successive spots along da dieting "journey" where you hop on da scale to check your current mass-reducing progress.

I always feel very suspicious of da dramatically-different "before" and "after" photos of people who are purported to have participated in a supposedly-successful slimming-down regimen --- I always wonder at which "weighpoints" said images were actually photographed! For all we know, da "after" photos dat show da people at a fairly-normal bodily-status might actually have been taken PRIOR to da "before" photos --- i.e., da people might have actually gotten HEAVIER in da time since they'd started da advertised diet, not LIGHTER! :P
