Schmuglet

A "schmuglet" is a term used to describe an individual who is unaware of the meaning of the word "schmuglet." In essence, a schmuglet is defined as someone who does not comprehend that a schmuglet, by definition, refers to a person who is ignorant of what the term "schmuglet" signifies. This definition emphasizes the irony embedded within the term itself. The concept of being a schmuglet does not inherently carry any positive or negative implications; it is neutral in its connotation.

The word "schmuglet" is designed as a playful and somewhat mischievous tool to create an inside joke or a sense of exclusivity among a group of individuals who are privy to its meaning. By informing everyone else in the group about the definition of "schmuglet," an insider circle is formed, leaving out the individual who remains uninformed. Consequently, the person who does not understand the meaning of "schmuglet" is identified and referred to as a schmuglet.
