Besides a TV movie, the only new Doctor who was in books, audio and webcasts for 16 years. The series started back up in 2005, and has been running since.

He usually saves the Earth/The Universe/Civilisation as we know it on a day-to-day basis. Generally talks alot, though it varies from regeneration to regeneration.
