How are they not just paying the lawyers to argue a case that doesn't matter because the outcome won't improve or diminish the quality and content of either of their lives to eat up court time and pay their lawyers to do nothing for a couple of weeks? The lawyers don't care. They make money. The judge is on salary he doesn't give a shit. He or SHE has nothing better to do.
