A bunch of first world kids have decided to draw themselves virtual "pokemon cards" using their overpriced GPU their mom had gifted them in 2010, as even using it like normal introverts - to play games, wasn't autistic enough for them. Some had exchanged it for hitman services and pizza adding 'real value' to it; Some have accumulated more than others, now they are all 'grown up' in their 20s, and their only value is their collection of poke.. I mean "cryptos", so they are promoting it like a real deal to be able to exchange it for something more than a pizza - real estate and a tesla - and be talking success stories.

In theory - decentralized currency, in practice - it's like that old comic about USB: xkcd.com/927 but even less validity and with a pinch of ponzi and criminality and "I'll make up my own money to have money for luls, oh wait, people actually believe it".

Muh doge coin is going to the moon. Cryptocurrency made me a millionaire.

Those who are users of Fiat currency and have a distrust and misunderstanding of Cryptocurrency. These individuals can be Cryptophobic if they are unable to dismantle their bias for Central Banking currencies and see Crypto for what it can be.

Googling "Is Bitcoin a bubble"; "Is Bitcoin a Ponzi"; "Bitcoin is a scam"; if youre googling these things or if these things run through your mind you might be afflicted with Cryptophobia.

People whose posts in public forums, in the interest of saving time (at most a matter of seconds), are severely abbreviated and mispunctuated (often via a quickpost application) to the point where they are barely intelligible, if at all. Sometimes these people cannot spell or read to begin with, and they insist on using slang and/or all caps. The nightmarish "finished product" of such posts may actually cause the astute reader to experience migraines and epileptic seizures. I first heard the term used by OwlHoot on sci.tech-archive.net.

A form of digital currency popularized by the notorious gang of the CRIPS. This currency was created in direct opposition and competition with the "BRYBTO" currency, which is obviously the digital currency of the gang BLOODS.
