Tradish

Slang for traditional. Word used mostly by Natives to describe their families--generally the ones who dress in full regalia and dance, or do sweats and try to get the nephews too

Auntie looked all tradish at the powwow. She usually be dressin' up with some beads but the regalia really smacked it all together.

I hope to be more tradish too--my uncle said a peyote meeting saved my kala's life.

Tradie Time

When a Tradie organises a meeting time with a customer and yet shows up whenever they want with no regard for the set time, usually hours and sometimes days late. ‘Tradie time’ allows Tradies the privilege to: not have to inform the customer they will be late, get upset when the person waiting for them dares ask where they are or, is not home when the Tradie arrives several hours late.

Tradie- “Be there about 2pm (‘Tradie time’).Just got another job first.”
Customer- “ok I will block out the next two weeks on my calendar, not leave the house, or go to work”
