Maarken

A Maarken is a blow in, usually Male. Known to sleep on your couch for days at a time, eat your food and adopt your pets as their own. The name "Maarken" comes from the act of animals marking out their territory as the Maarken will usually claim the couch, the fridge and the land between as their own.

That dude is Maarken his territory, he crashed on my couch on friday and hasn't left yet.

A boot formerly worn by working-class English people and later adopted by the punk crowd. In the 90's it surged in popularity eventually leading to it being produced overseas with cheap materials and shoddy construction. Now little more than a fashion statement for young twenty-somethings trying to be cool and "different" despite their ubiquity; a far cry from their working class origins.
