Percepti Fidelis

Percepti Fidelis is Latin for "Busy Creating The Perception." Well known in the United States of America as the motto of underpaid tech workers who telecommute or work flexible schedules (flex schedules), this phrase, often shortened to Percepti Fi in telecommute contexts, has served as a slogan for many workers and entities, in many countries, dating at least as far back as the 20th century.

Upper management had a perception that Ted's telecommuting was unproductive and that he was never at his desk, so he got busy creating a "new perception" -- Percepti Fidelis!

Did you know tasks can be completed even if C-levels can't physically see you sitting at your desk? -- Percepti Fidelis!

Immaculate Perceptions

Those stereotyped 'implicit bias' people possess about diversity and cultural differences; Negative stereotypes; False narratives; Negative generalizations which arise from lack of cultural knowledge or sensitivity.

Believing that all African-Americans or all black people are lazy is one of those immaculate perceptions created to justify discrimination in this country. It's one of those statements or beliefs from which no one can pinpoint ts origin, and thus seemingly immaculately conceived. They manifest as implicit bias. Get it?

Eleven-percenter

A term used to describe one who appears to be repeating the mainstream media talking points with complete confidence and sworn loyalty. These talking points are often said by such a person without challenging these talking points by their own thinking, and certainly not by other news outlets.

2 Percenter

A student at Texas A&M University who does not participate in traditions or participates only to a certain point.

Sitting during a football game, leaving early, not uncovering during yells, does not go to events such as Silver Taps and Muster, basically sits around in their dorm all day and does not get involved. A 2 percenter can do any one of these or sometimes all of them
