1. Used infrequently in parts of Seattle and Jacksonville, to 'Gib' or 'get Gibbed' is the action of stealing one's prospective boyfriend or girlfriend when they are exclusive but not officially dating.

Nicole: Maggie made out with that guy you've been talking to for two months in the parking lot of an ice cream shop at 10pm two weeks ago.

Grace: Damn, looks like i got fucking Gibbed again.

Gib

To get in bed (G.I.B.). Gib can be used in a variety of ways. One might gib somebody by thoroughly owning them. One might feel "gibby" late at night or after a large meal of fatty meats. Sometimes, people just need to gib. In such instances, it is your responsibility to inform them of this. The penalty for failing to gib is to be grounded.

The opposite of gibbing is goobing (Get Out of Bed). Life is nothing more than a cycle of gibbing and goobing.

You need to get off the computer and gib, or you're going to be grounded.

I feel so gibby after eating all that fried chicken.
