Using only whit, athleticism, and a blanket, a passing animal lover might wrap a blanket around the injured creature, there by preventing injury to the beast during the removal of the foreign object and saving the Goose's leg.

Side note: while the Goose in distress might be calmed by this method, a possible side effect could be massive incontinence.
