1) an internet information source with written entries from people. they must be approved by the managers before they are posted. can often have incorrect entries. i wouldn't trust it as a project information source.

2) used in fake gang banter for people who use wikipedia as a main information source and love it.

"yeah, man. i used wikipedia for my john adams history project and i got an F."

A website that allows anyone to make changes on it. There is only really a 50% chance the information that you got off of wikipedia is actually true. Unless it has enough reliable sources, the thing that you are looking up on Wikipedia should be trusted AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Most teachers now days tell their students to stay away, if possible, from Wikipedia and look up their information on a different website.

A much more technical version of urban dictionary which u can actually reference on assignemnts. It is the saviour to high school students around the world.

Guy 1: Fuck, i have a research assignment on nuclear fission due in tmoz, and i havent even started!
