Usually this desire is something one doesnt want to do, but is addicted to it because of the way it makes him/her feel about himself/herself.. like getting high.. or playing poker.. or going to a strip club.

Scientifically speaking, 'feeding the monkey' is feeding the dopamine gland in the brain..

White Monkey

A "White Monkey" refers to someone, mainly with White skin or a westerner, who is paid by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) to spread favorable views about them on social media. White Monkey jobs in China include receiving payment from the CCP to mainly white people to live in China, to make China appear desirable to foreigners over Western countries, and promote CCP ideas on social media.

The term "White Monkey" first came around in 2019, where Chinese youtuber "laowhy86" uploaded a video describing these "White Monkey" jobs, and garnered 2.4 million views as of 2021. Laowhy86 describes how the CCP pays small influencers and westerners to promote CCP ideas and China as a whole. This is used as a cover up by the CCP to negative press recently received particularly over the concentration camps of Uyghur Muslims in China, as well as the Free China movement protesting the CCP and it's numerous human rights violations.

The term White Monkey gained traction again after John Cena's apology to the CCP for calling Taiwan a country during his promotion for Fast and Furious 9. Many described Cena as a "White Monkey" for bending over for the CCP, as the CCP denies Taiwan as a separate country and insists it is their own territory. Cena's apology brought criticisms from across the world, due to the CCP's oppression of Taiwan. This garnered him the nickname "John Xina" and made him the star in Chinese social credit memes throughout 2021.
