Yapping

Dogs that yap and bark can aggravate both you and your neighbors. Curing your dog of an established yapping problem does take time and patience, but it is possible. The most important part of curing the issue is consistency in how you deal with the yapping issue.Consider using a white noise machine or playing a radio softly. If your dog is barking in response to noises outside, encourage her to be quiet by drowning out some of the noise.

Teach your dog to be quiet on command. Keep some treats handy while doing this, as an immediate reward makes the process move quicker. When you catch your dog yapping, tell her "hush," "quiet" or any other command you choose, but use the same one each time. She will probably stop yakking when she hears your voice, praise him and toss her a treat. Continue the process, and she will soon learn to quiet on your command.

Yippie

Yuppie+hippie=yippie

nowadays it's imporatant to be green while unfortunately u gotta have some loot to accomplish some aspects of that. A "yippie" is somebody who looks down on somebody who's not being green but is smugly over looking the fact that sometimes being green takes having green. (Is best used when when the individual is flagrantly spending money on other vain or superficial luxuries.)

This botoxed lipped yippie jus gave me a look when I asked for a plastic bag instead of buying a reusable one for a dollar at the grocery store!

Yappie

Noun- Annoying upwardly mobile young professionals who incessantly talk/text about nothing of any social value. Usually pertaining to their latest material purchase, who they had dinner with or other inane subjects.

I wish that Yappie would shut up about his weekend in the Hamptons.

If that Yappie next to me doesn't shut up about how many facebook friends he has, I'm going to break my beer bottle over his head.

If that jackass Yappie could quit Twittering for five seconds, he might actually learn something.
